Saturday afternoon was the MSU Basketball Beach Party at Coach Izzo's beach house on Lake Michigan. Everyone that works with the basketball team was there with their families. I had so much fun. I especially liked playing in the water, running in the sand, picking up wet sand, riding the waves in my floating toy, bouncing on a trampoline and running into Dad's arms as he sat in the water. At one point, I got a little tired and had to rest with Mom, but I bounced back and played some more.

Silly and Cute
A few days ago, I grabbed Mom's hat and put it on backwards to walk around the house.
I also thought it would be fun to climb in Fletcher's crate.
As you can see, he was a little confused. Don't worry, this isn't Mom and Dad's answer for cheaper child care.
On Thursday morning, I wouldn't leave the house until Dad put my sunglasses on.
On Friday at school, one of the teachers put my hair in piggies. I like them and actually don't try to pull them out. Mom says she didn't think I could be any cuter, but that this does it.

Picture Time - Outtakes
The previous post showed some of the best photos for prints. But there were also some funny pictures that I wanted to show you.
Picture Time
Last week, I had some pictures taken. These are some of the best. I'm sure many of you have already received your prints, but if you didn't and you'd like one, please let me know and I'll tell my Dad. (Uncle Eric, yours will be mailed soon.)

Meet The Spartans
Tonight was Meet The Spartans in Downtown East Lansing. It was also Mom's golf night, so that meant it was just me and Dad. I heard some people talking about football, but I didn't see any football players up close. There were some big tents with a lot of big men underneath signing their name over and over, but Dad said the lines were too long and that I would get bored, so we didn't wait. Instead, we walked around, and I really liked listening to the loud music, bouncing my head back and forth. We were lucky enough to meet the two Spartans shown above. These nice young girls are part of the dance team. I liked the sparklies on their shirts and the green and silver pom-poms. They let me shake the pom-poms, but Dad made me give them back after a few minutes, so I cried a little bit. When Mom heard about this picture, she said Dad was using me as a "chick magnet." I'm not exactly sure what that is, but I'm very good at it (are you reading this Uncle Hugh). On the way back to the car, Dad and I stopped by a Coldstone Creamery so that we could split some ice cream. Overall, it was a great night. Just don't tell Mom that my dinner was Puffs and Ice Cream, or she might not let us hang out together any more.

Up North
Mom and Dad were spontaneous (whatever that means) and we took a quick trip up north for a the weekend. We stayed in Bellaire, Michigan.
On Saturday we went into Traverse City for lunch and then to do some shopping. Since Mom and Dad were in Traverse City, they decided to drive the 15 miles over to Black Star Farms and hit up the winery for a tasting. I was a good girl and was content in my stroller, so they rewarded me by taking me to see the sheep and horses on the farm.
After leaving Black Star Farms, we drove back to Bellaire. We stopped at some road-side fruit markets to buy some fresh fruit, maple syrup and cherry products. For dinner, we went to Shorts Brewery. Mom was excited that she could sample the beers, since the last time they were there two years ago was the very first day they learned I was going to be joining the family. The restaurant didn't have regular size tables to sit at. They were all high tables, or lounge seating, so I got to walk around some, while picking at my plate.
I took this picture of mom by myself. (Watch out Grandaunt Deb)
After dinner we went back to our condo and went swimming. Mom had bought me a floaty thing to help me swim, but I think I'm too big a girl to use that. I don't need help. I did have fun kicking my legs with Mom. I especially liked being tossed into the air by Dad.
The next morning, we drove up to Petoskey. We walked around the downtown area, but what I really like doing was going down by the water. There was a lot to see like ducks, boats, sailboats and dogs. Even though it was hot and sunny, the wind off the water felt really good in my face.

Dad snapped this picture when I leaned in to have a closer look at the camera.

My Pony Fletcher
As you know, Fletcher is my best friend. Here are a few pictures and video to show how much fun we have together. You'll also see that he can be very patient, even when I sit on his back and pretend like he is my pony. (I apologize for the toddler nudity, but we had sloppy joe's for dinner that night and Mom took off my shirt so that it wouldn't be ruined.)

Visiting Uncle Hugh
I was sad earlier this summer when Uncle Hugh moved to Warren, Ohio to start his new job. But it's a good job and I'm very proud of him. Fortunately, Mom, Grandma and I went down to visit him in July.
He has a very nice apartment.

While we were in town, there was a Greek Festival. We went and tasted a lot of neat food.

The picture below wasn't at the Greek Festival, but Grandma and I had a good time eating dinner at a local restaurant.

Nebraska
I had a great time in Nebraska over the Fourth of July. Mom, Dad and I went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days. Eric and Toodie were there, which was fun because they played with me a lot. I also got to go to my first wedding as Dad's cousin Bethany got married. I am going to start picking out things I like about weddings so I'll be ready when it's my turn. Dad says I can start dating when I'm 30 (or 25 if the boy is very rich).
One of things we got to do was go visit Lincoln Southeast High School, where Dad went to school. Both he and Uncle Eric have their pictures on this Wall of Fame for perfect GPAs (can you say Nerd?). They then saw this wall with pictures of Distinguished Alumni, and decided they wanted to be on that wall. Grandaunt Deb has keys so that we could get in and walk around. Toodie helped me stay on the right pack.

I was not happy to stop walking to take this picture in front of the Southeast Knight with my Dad and Uncle.

It was also fun to play at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They had a little rocking horse called Tony, that Grandpa Bob used to play with when he was little. That makes it almost an antique.

It was really fun to play with Cousin Lily. We took turns pushing each other on my car.
Sometimes I had to take a break from playing to make some important phone calls.

It was really hot in Nebraska, but we took a trip to the Lincoln Children's Museum with Grandma.

At Bethany's wedding, we took a family photo of all the Larsons. They said the last one of these was at Mom and Dad's wedding. But Lily and I weren't around for that - so this one is better.
