Making A Home For Elizabeth

When Anne and I first moved into our home, we designated a room that would eventually become the baby's room. For six years though, the room was little more than a junk room or, at best, storage. When we didn't know where something was supposed to go, we put it in the room. In December, we began the process to turn a storage room into a nursery, finding a new home for all the random stuff.

The next step was to paint the room. Here's Anne ready to began the process. She and her mom did great work.

Like any good room for a little girl, there is a lot of pink.

A second pink was added for stripes on one wall. Grandma Linda provided and painted a crib. Grandma Pam made a bed skirt and bumper for the crib.

She also did great work on a quilt.

There's still work to be done. But in the meantime, Mr. Bear and Ms. Rabbit are patiently waiting for company in the crib.

Fletcher is also waiting - he's just not so patient most of the time.

  1. Looks great. I know that those stripes aren't easy to do. I'm glad y'all have a blog up so we can follow along with you all the way down here in Texas.
